10 days Samye -Ganden trekking

Day 1: Lhasa (3,656m)

You will be welcoming by our guide at the airport (64km from Lhasa)/train station(25km from Lhasa) to the beautiful and jubilating Lhasa (3,650m above the sea level). Afterward we will drop you to the downtown hotel and get rest. Get ease with the climate and we will provide you enough days to get acclimatize with climate.Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 2: Lhasa (3,656m)

While acclimatizing to the altitude in Lhasa, we will explore the city by walking around the Barkhor Square and mingle with the Tibetan pilgrims while visiting Jokhang Temple. Afternoon exploring Sera monastery. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 3: Lhasa (3,656m)

In the morning we will be visiting Potala Palace and Drepung monastery. Overnight in Lhasa.

Day 4: Lhasa-Ganden(4,300m) -Tsubshi-Yama-do (trekking 3 hours,17km)

In the morning,drive to Ganden Monastery which is 50km northeast of Lhasa, after visiting and explored the architectures of ancient Tibetan monastery we will transfer you to Tsubshi Village, prepare for yaks. Then start the Trekking up to Yama-do (trekking time 2-3hours). Camping.

Day 5: Trek to Tsotup Chu Valley (6hours,10km)

In the morning, leave the valley floor and make our way through a steep gully rising form the stream bank. Then, climb the Shug La and begin our climb down through treacherous boulder fields. Later, cross Tsotup Chu, a large stream winding through the valley floor. A comfortable camp will be set up in one of the herder fields. Camping

Day 6: Trek to Herder’s Camp (6 hours,14km)

Follow the Tsotup Chu down through its tributary and head towards the Chitu La pass. After ascending this rocky pass, we will quickly descend down and find a beautiful place to camp in one of the fields surrounding the stream. To find our campsite we will meander through quiet herder camps for nearly an hour. Another beautiful day of our trek is over! Camping

Day 7: Trek to Yamalung (6 hours,39km)

The trail gets wider and easier as we follow through scrub forests in the main valley. Beautiful streams and lush forests surround us as we walking. The next few hours are arguably the most beautiful part of our trek. More than 15 types of scrub trees, blooming rhododendrons, and vast meadow will amaze your every step of the way! After passing through this wondrous landscape, we will trek through the Changtang village. Less than an hour away, participants can choose to make the one-hour hike to the Yamalung Hermitage. Yamalung is an ancient and holy Buddhist meditation site. Dirver will pick you up to Samye. Stay at Samye guesthouse.

Day 8: Explore the Samye Monastery and Yarlung River Valley

The Samye Monastery is the first Monastery built in Tibet built in 765. Samye is surrounded by barren mountains and rolling sand dunes, the monastery has a magic about it that attract most travelers from the globe. And we will be exploring the beautiful Yarlung River Valley in the noon.  Overnight in Samye.

Day 9: Samye (3,630m) to Lhasa. 210Km

Today we will drive back to Lhasa from Samye while enjoying Yarlung river. Rest in hotel and cozy shower. Final night in Lhasa

Day 10: See off

We will be dropping you off either at Lhasa Airport for your flight or Lhasa Train Station as you have arranged.
